Thomas MarczakAssociate, Thompson & Bowie Maine Law Class of 2008 IP Clinic Student, Spring 2008 Tom received his B.A. magna cum laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While in law school he was a recipient of the Pro Bono Publico Award in recognition of significant pro bono legal service. He also received a Bernstein Fellowship and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph H. Field of the West Bath District Court. Currently, Tom is a civil defense litigator for the Portland law firm Thompson & Bowie, with a primary focus on insurance defense and municipal liability. He is also a past member of the Board of Governors for the Maine State Bar Association's New Lawyers Section and currently represents Maine and Vermont for the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. Additionally, he is a founding board member of Portland Greendrinks.
